Who better to help health care public relations professionals be positioned for the future than our President, Lisa Arledge Powell? Lisa has been elected to the PRSA Health Academy Executive Committee and will serve a three-year term, contributing insight to help push the health care communications industry forward.
PRSA Health Academy is one of the top health care leadership groups in the United States and Lisa is one of just 17 top health professionals from around the country elected into a leadership position. This academy is one of PRSA's largest sections, with 750 members representing hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, insurers, agencies, foundations, and medical and dental associations.
"My goal as a health care public relations thought leader is to advance the role of public relations professional during this time of industry change," said Lisa. "I believe that as the world of communications evolves, the PR officer should be a key company leader across an organization's communications platforms and I hope to promote that idea through my new role with PRSA Health Academy."
Last year Lisa spoke at the PRSA Health Academy Conference in Washington, D.C. and helped health care leaders better understand how they can use brand journalism within their health care organizations.
