As you may know we launched a new PR hit last week, the Brand Journalizer song! Our president, Lisa Arledge Powell, launched this at the PRSA 2014 Health Academy Conference in Washington D.C. last week with Bob Mackle of The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center during their brand journalism presentation.
As brand journalists for national healthcare clients, we understand that A LOT of work goes into a production. So, of course we wanted to give you an exclusive look into the making of the Brand Journalizer song.
The song was created by our very own Content Technology Manager, Robert Leitch, with the help of Robert Wamsley of Indianapolis and Phil Clark of Columbus. Wamsley lent his voice to the song and took on a "storyteller" like tone, as we based the song on "School House Rock" . He is a sales manager by trade, but has composed music for several short films and other projects.
Phil Clark is a professional musician and engineer. He has performed with Hoodoo Soul Band and The Soul.
We hope to continue to educate more PR professionals on our brand journalism tactics with additional help from our new song. "If a song can help kids remember the preamble of the constitution, then it can definitely help PR folks be better brand journalists," Leitch said.
