My passion for media measurement has existed long before I knew it would lead me here to MediaSource. I remember diligently hitting refresh on my parent’s desktop computer, impatiently waiting to read critic’s reviews of the latest episode of “LOST” after it aired. Or hoping my new favorite new shows would have strong enough ratings to be renewed for a second season (they rarely did). 

Having been so intrigued by media at a young age, it only made sense (to me at least) to major in Media Studies at Ohio University in the Fall of 2010. Through the Scripps College of Communication and the School of Media Arts & Studies at Ohio University, I was fully immersed in the world of media. My coursework ultimately steered me in the direction of audience research, where I reignited my passion for media measurement, taking courses that allowed me to interpret and analyze Nielsen ratings and consumer viewing habits. 

After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Communication in the Spring of 2014, I found myself in Midtown Manhattan, interning in the Ad Sales Research Department at ABC Family. This summer internship sharpened my ability to use numbers to tell a story, compiling daily, weekly and monthly reports for the Ad Sales team during the Upfront sales season, all while learning how to navigate the streets of the city that never sleeps.

My time spent with ABC Family solidified my desire to work in media measurement, but I knew that living in Northeast Ohio did not provide me with a plethora of media measurement jobs for the choosing. So, I began to browse the online job boards in the Columbus area. When I finally came across the Media Relations Assistant availability at MediaSource, I knew it was a perfect fit; a company and a position where I could put my skills to work and learn more along the way. After a quick interview process, and an even quicker loading and unloading of a U-Haul, I find myself starting here at MediaSource. I am truly thrilled to be working alongside such a friendly and dedicated team of Brand Journalists!
