As promised, learn more about our awesome summer interns in their introduction blog series! Today, get to know Taylor Stano who is a MediaSource  Content Production Intern! She joins us from Ohio University and we are so excited to have her on our brand journalism team.

Anxious and intimidated were some of the emotions I felt before walking through MediaSource’s door on my first day of interning. I asked myself, “What if I mess up?”. However, I knew as humans we only learn by our mistakes and by stepping outside of our comfort zones. At that point I knew I felt ready; ready to gain experience at my first internship, ready to learn and ready to take on new challenges. 

Coming from Ohio University studying journalism and pursuing a marketing minor and a social media certificate, MediaSource seemed like the perfect match for me. I’m willing to learn more about brand journalism and learn more innovative ideas that the company has to offer, along with gaining insight from my co-workers and growing as a storyteller. As an athlete, I also admire MediaSource’s team-oriented environment, which adds elements of drive and determination that a “player” needs. 

Originally from Canton, Ohio, I went to Walsh University to play collegiate soccer and quickly realized I’ve always wanted to attend a larger school with a great journalism program. After transferring to Ohio University in Athens, Ohio my Sophomore year, I quickly got involved on campus by writing and editing for various publications along with joining OU’s club soccer team.

Now that I’m outside of my “comfort zone cities” and in a new and innovative place, I’m ready to see where my experiences in Columbus take me. Not only am I thrilled to gain knowledge and confidence in my field but I’m excited for the opportunities MediaSource has to offer.
